FAQ's

1. What does training cost?

An average training day usually cost between $1600-1950. Up to 20 people can be trained for that price. That’s less than $100 per person per day for a group of 20. Some types of training are more expensive than others and it really depends on a range of factors. It is best to talk to us about your requirements so we can strike a deal that suits you.

2. I’m an individual, not part of larger group, and want to work towards a qualification, what can you do for me?

CPD does not offer public programs but instead offers coaching to individuals who want to work towards a qualification in their own time. This involves being coached by one of our specialist trainers/mentors who will help you gain valuable knowledge and skills toward your desired qualification, whether it be a business qualification or maybe to become a trainer yourself. This is a very flexible training approach and you and the trainer negotiate where, when and how you would like the learning to occur. This kind of training is very intensive and we always have enthusiastic feedback about how much value people gain from it.

4. Is there a way to recognise my existing skills towards qualifications?

The CPD offers a "skills recognition"/RPL process where a person's skills, knowledge and experience all count towards a qualification. So if you have a lot of experience, but no formal qualification in, say, customer service, we can count all your experience and a range of other evidence towards you attaining a qualification.

5. Does the CPD only do accredited training?

No. The CPD also specialises in designing and delivering customised training to organisations. We tailor our training to the exact needs of the organisation.

6. I'm a Human Resource Manager and am interested in becoming an accredited trainer, how can you help?

Becoming an accredited trainer is a great idea as it will enable you to train and assess your own people, as well as adding extra qualifications to your credentials.

The CPD often invites HR staff to be involved in a hands-on role in training and assessing if they wish, as this counts towards them gaining the certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.

Also HR staff have a lot of experience which can be recognised as evidence towards the qualifications and is a 'fast track' option.
